St. Charles Borromeo Philippine Medical Mission (PMM) established a grant-making program in 2000 supported by funds raised through several fund-raising events and revenue from other sources. Grants are awarded to projects which support and extend PMM’s ministry to the poor and the sick to achieve the following goals:

Goal 1: Provide medical assistance (medicines, services) for Filipino children, adults, and elderly with a focus on those populations with limited resources.

Goal 2: Educate and train people to empower them to provide better nutrition and healthcare for themselves and their families.

Grants are awarded to pre-selected partners in the Philippines. No grants are given to individuals or to organizations without non-profit status. Grants are made for commitments of one year at a time. Projects and programs which extend beyond one year are eligible for application the following year.

There is one funding cycle per year with all applications due by October 1st. The PMM Board of Directors reviews proposals during its autumn board meeting and applicants receive written notification of award decisions prior to the end of November. Funds awarded are available after December 15th of each year.

PMM currently is unable to accept proposals from new partner agencies.
